Favorites of the day:

1. Singing along to the radio (not in tune, of course), stopping at a light and looking next to me, only to see that the girl in the truck there was ALSO singing along to her radio - same station, same song, same exaggerated I'm-alone-in-the-car-and-no-one-can-see-me vocals. It was wonderful and made me enjoy life more.

2. Driving down the street to the house and seeing a boy about 8 on one of those Razor scooters with a huge grin on his face. I was excited to see he was wearing a helmet (yes, I am the safety police), but more excited and admittedly almost a little teary when I saw his dad 10 feet behind him, in his 30s, ALSO ON A RAZOR SCOOTER (with helmet). The dad had a larger grin on his face, albeit framed with a little nerves as I watched him attempt to navigate a bump on the sidewalk. It was wonderful. More parents need to get out there and take advantage of having time with their kids when they're young. It makes me sad to see some parents not take more of an active role in the lives of their children. Ok...end of parenting soapbox from the 22-year-old college student with no children.
