Today was my "day off." Traditional translation: day when I didn't have clinicals. New translation: day when I don't have clinicals, but get to fill my day with everything else in my life that needs to get done when I have a "day off."
Wake up. Chapel. Paperwork in the nursing office. Work. Coffee with a friend. 2 hour dinner with the old CNSA president where she downloads her entire brain to me, the incoming CNSA president. Now? It's 9:00 and and I'm watching Breakfast at Tiffany's to have noise in the background and blogging before I finish research for my clinical presentation tomorrow afternoon on Guillain-Barre Syndrome. Yikes.
My goodness.
Friday night, however, will be AMAZING. I am going to a friend's house and we're having Filipino Cultural Night, where her family (all 16 of them) are hosting a bunch of us and feeding us and sharing their culture. I am so excited! It will be splendid. Saturday, I'm going with that same friend and another to Catz, a competitive sports training facility. The name scares me to no end seeing as how I haven't seen the gym recently, but it's an hour of this crazy work out thing. Hmmm....I'm crazy, I know.
Other than that, I can't wait to come home and see people. I miss home! I'm not horribly homesick and sad, but I just long for that comfort of home...
So, with that...adios.
PS - Swine Flu hasn't hit La Mirada, contrary to what the news said. The man that died from La Mirada didn't die of swine flu, they lied. =) And yes, I'm washing my hands.
