I check out the news in Santa Rosa from the Press Democrat's online newspaper and, while generally finding it decent, from time to time stumble upon certain gems. Today, I discovered one of them. So, for your reading pleasure, I present, courtesy of The PD:
Cows disrupt traffic near Oakmont

A group of cows grazing off the edge of Highway 12 near Oakmont, including a brown one who at one point strolled into the middle of the road, were posing a traffic hazard to motorists along the scenic route early Friday, the CHP said.
The cows were reported around 7:30 a.m. just east of Oakmont. Officers were working to make sure the road was clear.
Oh, how I do love those slow news mornings.
