Did You Know?

This is the newest Facebook trend: the "25 random facts about Me!" note. Someone tagged me in one yesterday, which meant that I was supposed to then make a note with 25 things on my own page. Although I found myself entertained reading her facts, I'm not interested in posting one on Facebook. I'm putting it here, instead. Don't ask me why. I know it's still online. I know people will still read it. I just don't have a desire to put it on Facebook and appear on 600 people's newsfeeds.

Here goes (my 25 random facts):

1. Architecture absolutely fascinates me.
2. I think I want to get my Master's degree.
3. Yes, this is my natural hair color.
4. I often play the role of devil's advocate & will argue the other side to most any argument - even if I vehemently disagree with the position.
5. I sneeze when I have polar ice gum, Altoid's, and most cough syrups.
6. I was once yelled at and chased by angry Disneyland employees.
7. My heart breaks for the inner city and its youth. I want to be more active in pursuing opportunities to make a difference in their lives.
8. The smell of rose gardens reminds me of my Oma's front yard and visiting her when I was little. I just realized that's why I love the smell of fresh roses so much. Also, I'm a sucker for flowers.
9. Two of my teeth were knocked out in 2nd grade by a boy who punched me in the face while we played "Power Rangers" during recess. I think that's part of the reason my dad moved us out of the Bay Area.
10. I almost joined the Navy ROTC my senior year of high school. I interviewed with them and had most of my paperwork done when I decided that I did not want to join. To this day, I cannot remember why I didn't sign the paperwork.
11. When I blink, my eyes roll slightly. I had no idea I did this until a few months ago when a couple friends told me over breakfast.
12. I inadvertently trespassed on US government property while attempting to take pictures of old buildings and half-sunken ships. Security kindly escorted me off of the premesis.
13. Because my family consists of basically all generic last names (Miller, Smith, Cook, Jones), I hope that the man I marry will have an interesting last name.
14. I fold towels one way and one way only. It bothers me if they're folded differently.
15. I am alive today due to people pouring their lives/energy into me. I remind myself of this whenever I think I've reached my breaking point.
16. My dad raise me as a single father but I have never felt like I missed out on having a mom around. The Lord has blessed me with amazing women in my life and I constantly look toward them for guidance. Some of them have no idea how highly I regard them and how much they have impacted my growth.
17. I cry at almost any live musical performance. I have no control over this.
18. I think that Cyrillic alphabet is beautiful
19. I judge advertisements and companies by what fonts they use.
20. The human mind both intrigues & terrifies me - I still am drawn to mental health nursing and issues.
21. I will never get tired of seeing the San Francisco skyline.
22. I really, really want to go on a helicopter ride over a big city.
23. My most recent hobby? Knitting. Yes, I am an old woman.
24. My nickname among some of my friends is: "Nana"
25. Brian Reagan, Flight of the Conchords and Arrested Development will always make me laugh - no matter how bad my day has been. Also (although I'm embarrassed to admit this), I've become a recent fan of "The Bachelor" and now watch it online.
