Also, as the below pictures will show...even the busy have time for adventure.
Saturday, three of the girls and I made a semi-spontaneous trip to Mt. Baldy. We'd wanted to go, talked about going, and FINALLY, jumped in my car and drove to the mountain. We can see the snow covered peaks from campus and look longingly at them on a daily basis. On Sunday, less than 24 hours since we'd been to the mountains, we were already wishing we were there again. Nature brings such peace, such joy and beauty. I love it. I will never tire of being in the mountains, walking on rocks in creeks, and sitting on fallen trees over the water. In the beauty of nature, I understand more fully the beauty of God.
This last picture event occured earlier this afternoon. I walked into the office to start working and discovered that it had been entirely rearranged. It completely surprised me because I've been used to the same set up for a couple months now, but I do love it. Also, with the new set-up, I now have a new feeling of ownership with regards to my space. I got to hook up my computer how I wanted it and will work these next couple days on organizing my desk. The picture, however, details my attempts at dislodging a power cord that was stuck between a filing cabnet and my desk. I love that I work somewhere where people don't think I'm completely insane for being willing to crawl under a desk in nice pants to fix a problem. Instead, they joke and take pictures because it really is that funny.
Hope you enjoyed the pictures! I'm off to sleep now!
